Dense Fog Advisory

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a dense
fog advisory... which is in effect until 9 am CST this morning.

The combination of light surface winds and increasing dewpoints
is maintaining areas of dense fog across portions of the inland
counties of deep south Texas through mid morning today. These
areas of dense fog will reduce visibilities to near or less that
one half of a mile across much of Brooks and northern Hidalgo
counties. Current observations from Falfurrias and Edinburg
indicate visibilities near or less that one half of a mile.

These area of dense fog will persist through sunrise today and
will eventually dissipate by midmorning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Motorists should slow down... use low beam headlights... and
maintain a safe distance between vehicles.
