This morning a broad surface high pressure ridge was centered around eastern Kansas down to southwest and central Texas. The ridge will slide a little farther east during the day...allowing for a return of light southeasterly winds over Oklahoma and western North Texas. In northwest Oklahoma...winds will turn to the south and increase this afternoon...becoming breezy at 15 to 20 mph. Very dry air was in place...so skies will be exceptionally sunny...and following overnight lows in the low 50s...temperatures will warm to near 80 by noon to 1 PM.
